Health Care, Human Services, and Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964

 

Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 is a national law that protects individual(s) from discrimination based on their race, color, gender, national origin, disability or age in programs that receive federal or state financial assistance.  If you are eligible for Medicaid, Medicare, other health care services and/or human services, an individual cannot be denied assistance because of their race, color, gender, national origin, disability or age.  

 

Have Faith, LLC does not discriminate against any individual(s) on the basis of race, color, gender, national origin, disability or age in admission, treatment or participation in our services, activities, or employment. 

 

Have Faith, LLC agency will not deny access to care, services, or employment based solely upon age with the exception of limited circumstance where:

• Such that any individual(s) under the age of eighteen (18) would not be a suitable candidate based upon the responsibilities of the employment position and as such these responsibilities and age requirements are described in the individual job description and are considered reasonable per facility standards.

• Individual(s) considered to be a pediatric patient under the age of eighteen (18) cannot be cared for safely provided due to those care needs being beyond the scope of safe practice based on staffing availability.
